Rhonda - I am deeply moved. Thank you for the privilege of being let in to share your cherished memory. You and your family have sacrificed much, and for this I am deeply grateful.

I can also imagine the painful period of having your young husband away and his return couldn't have been easy either.

But all these things have shaped you into the fine woman you are today.

How sad, so young. God bless him for his service and forgive the people who treated the Vietnam vets so badly when they came home.
My friend is a Marine General who served then, as a LT and he says he will never forget how they were treated.
God bless all those who served and died, and God bless you for your lovely memorial.

I went to bed last night in tears over the PBS piece about the slaughter of young men at Outpost Harry in Korea...1953. Words...none.
I'm so sorry about your husband and all the others you've loved and lost. Must have been a difficult day for you...as it must be every year.

Oh, Rhonda...I didn't know!!! This is such a beautiful tribute...I'm sure there were both good and sad memories while writing it. You definitely made a beautiful bride. To lose such a young husband...I can only imagine how difficult that was. I very much appreciate those who serve and have served our country, especially those who were wounded or died in combat. Too many young lives are lost due to countries not being able to get along. I am so very sorry for your loss...hope the sweet memories will always lift you up.

What a beautiful post. I am so appreciative for everyone who has served our country. We would not have the freedom today if were not for those brave men and women. What a tragedy about your husband and this was such a nice way to remember him. Hope you have a wonderful Memorial Day.
