S M I L E…it's Monday!

Monday's should always start with something that makes you smile and this morning when I was checking my Facebook to see what my family and friends did over the weekend, I saw something that brought a big smile to my face. My dear friend, the other Shellbelle, posted something from her favorite artist Mary Engelbreit. Unless you've been living on a deserted island somewhere, you know who ME is and have seen her colorful, delightful illustrations.

Mary's work always makes me feel all warm and fuzzy; often she has brought back images of my childhood and the illustration I saw today included four of my favorite things — the beach, an egret, seashells and the cutest, darn beach huts I've ever seen! Ya'll know how much I love beach huts, so this Monday's smile was as big as the sky.

Did you know Mary has a blog? Yes, she does! You can read one of her recent entries here about her April trip to Sarasota, Florida and see some wonderful photos her darling daughter, Mikayla, took.

The image above was included in her 2010 calendar, which can be purchased in her online store or as a high-quality print, suitable for framing here. BUT, no matter what, I just know this illustration today is going to make you

S M I L E ! ! !

Have a wonderful week, big hugs to all!
Ya'll make be smile everyday!

I've always loved ME and Susan Branch's illustrations. They do bring me back to happy childhood days. I bought ME's Favorite Nursery Rhymes book for my grandson as the illustrations were so wonderful!

Yep, know ME for a long, long time. I understand that she has a house on Casey Key (so does Stephen King), across the jetty from Venice. :)

Love the beach huts. I am a beach hut fan too. In England they are just simple wooden sheds painted different colors. This is such a pretty picture. Thanks for sharing.

I have always loved all the colors and illustrations she uses! So cheery! Love this one! Congrats on your win from Applestone Cottage too! Woohoo!

I love the beach and everything that goes with it! I love the waves lapping at my feet. I love the feel of the sand between my toes. I love the roar of the Pacific and the gentle waves of the Gulf of Mexico in Florida. Let's talk about beaches around the world, bonfires, building sandcastles, swaying palm trees, flamingos, clambakes, sunrises and sunsets. If it's tropical, it fits this blog!
