One Lucky Beach Gal!

G'day everyone! I'm feeling in an Aussie mood today, because I was one of the lucky winners in Julie's giveaway over at Being Ruby! I know, you are all jealous that one of Julie's lovely, creative prints is on its way to grace a special spot in my new home. I'm so excited! I'm not going to show you which one today, but I will just as soon as it gets here. I already know where its going.

I hope you all had a wonderful Mother's Day with your loved ones. My son is in California and my daughter was just here from Florida a couple of weeks ago, so I had to do something special to celebrate and if you know me at all, you can probably guess what I did. I'll give you a hint. I have two signs hanging around my house.

This one is on the inside of my front door:

And this one is on the wall just outside my back door:

Like I need a constant reminder, right?

Yep, I headed to the beach and decided I needed to explore one right here in Georgia, so I went to Jekyll Island. LOVELY and the weather was perfect! I'll tell you all about it tomorrow. I still need to download my photos from my camera and see what's what. This place is so beautiful and such fun, don't miss my post, you just may start packing your bags and heading South.

I do want to show you one of the gifts I received from my daughter (like being her mother isn't enough). We found this in the Twisted Sister shop in Fernandina Beach when she was here and she knew I just had to have it!

The name of this incredibly beautiful mermaid is Shell Worshiper

Mermaid? Seashell? Oh yeah, she had to come home with me. It's so nice when your child knows you so well, there was no hesitation as we marched up to the counter to have her wrapped for the trip home.

That's it for today my lovelies, I'm STILL unpacking and I have lots of blogs to visit today. I'll see you tomorrow for some Island Time, when I'll bring a little sun and sand in your life.

Girls give the best gifts. Boys...not so much. My sons have said that they don't know what I like.
C'mon, I have so many hobbies that they could pick up on. Nope. No ideas.
Glad you had a great day.

I love your shell worshiper - she is beautiful! Happy belated Mother's Day, hope it was lovely and hope you are doing well!

I love the beach and everything that goes with it! I love the waves lapping at my feet. I love the feel of the sand between my toes. I love the roar of the Pacific and the gentle waves of the Gulf of Mexico in Florida. Let's talk about beaches around the world, bonfires, building sandcastles, swaying palm trees, flamingos, clambakes, sunrises and sunsets. If it's tropical, it fits this blog!
